Twelve Cuban Migrants, inclusive of 8 males and 4 females, are currently en route to Freeport, Grand Bahama onboard a USCG craft namely; USCGC Harriet Lane. The migrants were discovered onboard a rustic Cuban vessel 20 nautical miles North West of Anguilla Cay after an initial response to a distress call. The migrants will be handed over to the relevant Government agency with responsibility. This latest joint apprehension between the RBDF, OPBAT, and the USCG brings the total number of Cubans migrants apprehended to one hundred and eighty-nine (189) in recent days as one hundred and seventy-seven (177) migrants were apprehended approximately sixty (60) nautical miles off Andros on February 27, 2022.The RBDF remains committed to Guarding Our Heritage
