Yesterday Royal Bahamas Defence Force patrol craft C6-BDF from the Airwing Section of the Force accompanied Registered Nurse Mrs. Felecia Turnquest, Department of Public Health to Acklins Island in order to supply the island with much needed medical supplies and other aid to the Island.
A sudden turn of event changed the whole mission from relief efforts to a medical evacuation. 86yr old Aclkins Resident Mr. Charles Hanna had to be referred to Nassau by the local physician for further medical care. Mr. Hanna was accompanied by his son Mr. Carl Hanna.
