Recently, members of the Defence Force Exchange and Community Relations made a donation to the Gavin Tynes Primary School to aid in the fight against the spread of Covid–19 as schools in the Bahamas revert to face to face learning.Commander Defence Force, Commodore Dr. Raymond King developed a systematic strategy which he implemented throughout the Royal Bahamas Defence Force in regards to Community Service and Outreach. Base Supply Officer, Lieutenant Commander Samantha Hart and her team liaised with the Human Resources Officer, Senior Lieutenant Thora Gardiner to donate a sizeable amount of sneeze guard dividers for use amongst the students.Principal Cozetta Johnson expressed her gratitude for the assistance given and the school’s intent to continue to prioritize the safety of its students and faculty, who are a part of the larger public.
