Senior representatives of the Disaster Risk Management Authority (DRMA) paid a courtesy call to Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey and his Executive Team at the Ministry of National Security on 14 July 2025.
The DRMA delegation was led by Managing Director Aaron Sargent, who was accompanied by Executive Chairman Alex Storr, Senior Advisor Captain Stephen Russell, Acting Director of Disaster Operations Mr. Henry Moxey, Assistant Managing Director Dominic Martin, Assistant Director of Strategic Communications Chauntez Dillet-Wilson, and Visual Communications Manager Vincent Williams.
The purpose of the courtesy call was to introduce the DRMA to the new senior command of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and to highlight the collaborative efforts that have been ongoing between the two entities. In the midst of hurricane season, the meeting emphasized the critical role of the DRMA in responding to natural hazards and recognized the Royal Bahamas Defence Force as a strategic and highly visible partner in disaster preparedness and response.
Discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen and expand this partnership through innovative collaboration. Both sides explored ways to leverage the unique resources and capabilities of the DRMA to complement and support Royal Bahamas Defence Force operations in disaster management. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to ensuring the safety and resilience of The Bahamas through coordinated planning, resource sharing, and sustained interagency cooperation.
