Defence Headquarters, 30 NOV. ’23 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Fleet Maintenance Department, led by Lieutenant Commander Gordon Roberts, demonstrated their commitment to community welfare with a heartfelt Community Service at the All Saints Camp on November 30, 2023.
Founded in 1986 by Dr. Glenroy Nottage, the All Saints Camp serves as a sanctuary for those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, currently accommodating seventy-five residents. Recognizing the ongoing needs of the camp, the Fleet Maintenance Department, previously allied with Cartwright’s Bedding, generously donated six Twin Semi-Orthopedic mattresses and as winter approaches, their compassion extends further with a Coat Drive for the residents.
Mrs. Betty Smith, receiving the donations on behalf of the Camp, and its Administrator, Mrs. Diana Ingraham, expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the donations and continued support from the Fleet Maintenance Department and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force at large.
This charitable initiative exemplifies the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s dedication to giving back and supporting those in need, aligning with the Commander Defence Force’s vision of fortifying community relations.
