The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) paid its final respects to Former Chief Justice and Member of Parliament Sir Cyril Fountain.
Sir Cyril Fountain was was eulogized at Christ Church Cathedral, on George Street, New Providence on 6th June 2024 and the service concluded at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Virginia Street.
In attendance was Governor General, Dame Cynthia Pratt, Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis, Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Chester Cooper, Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne Munroe K.C., Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder, Aide de camp, Lietuenant Commander Lennox Coleby, RBDF Executive Command Team, Officers, Marines and Members of the RBDF Veteran’s Association.
Sir Cyril Fountain was truly a self inspired and determined Bahamian legend and his story has made a great enough impact to motivate many others to pursue their aspired occupation aimed at the betterment of the nation.
Sincerest condolences are extended to the family members and loved ones of the late Sir Cyril Stanley Smith Fountain, on behalf of the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, members of the Executive Command Team, Officers, Warrant Officers, and Enlisted Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. May they all be comforted in their time of distress.
