Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, welcomed a delegation of five (5) representatives from the Institute for Security Governance (ISG), along with Captain McCurdy of the United States Army, during a courtesy call at the Ministry of National Security on 23 June 2025.
The ISG, an entity under the U.S. Department of Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) is renowned for its expertise in institutional capacity building and international security cooperation. The organization works with partner nations to strengthen governance, management, and operational capabilities within their defense and security sectors, fostering transparent, effective, and sustainable institutions.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in meaningful dialogue focused on enhancing regional security cooperation, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and identifying future opportunities for collaboration between the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and the ISG.
Commodore Moxey expressed his appreciation for the ongoing partnership and underscored the significance of continued engagement in addressing mutual security concerns across the region.
This courtesy call reflects the enduring commitment to deepening the strategic defence relationship between The Bahamas and the United States, reinforcing cooperative efforts aimed at promoting regional stability and resilience.
