Cadets of National Youth Guard (NYG) Cohort 6 conducted a community service initiative over two consecutive weekends, on Saturday, 21 February 2026, and Saturday, 28 February 2026, at Clifton Heritage National Park.
A total of eighty-seven cadets carried out the initiative under the leadership of their instructors and in coordination with Park Ranger Supervisor Antenor. The cadets assisted with the cleanup of several key areas, including Flipper Beach and the Lucayan Hut site, while another group reorganized and logged equipment within the Park’s tool shed located in the front area of the property.
Additionally, cadets were tasked with clearing and preparing a new area designated for composting and other gardening activities. Their collective efforts contributed to the preservation and enhancement of one of the nation’s most treasured historical and environmental landmarks.
