Members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force recently partnered with the Public Hospital Authority to conduct a Blood Drive on Friday September 18th, 2020 at HMBS Coral Harbour.
Sponsored by the RBDF Exchange and the Junior Rates Committee, the Princess Margaret Hospital Blood Bank was the recipient of this life-saving initiative. The Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King and his Executive Command Team led by example by donating for a worthy cause.
This drive was organized by Commander Floyd Moxey, the RBDF’s Base Executive Officer. He expressed his thanks for the successful turnout of the Officers and Marines who donated blood.
“As the Officers and Marines assist in giving and sustaining life of individuals, we wish to thank the PHM Blood Bank for their assistance”, said Commander Moxey. “In keeping with the Commander Defence Force’s intent, it is our hope that this venture goes a long way in saving life”.
