The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Crisis Risk Disaster Management Unit under the command of Commander Granville Adderley, held a Safety Training Seminar for members of the Headquarters Department this week at the Ministry of National Security complex.The intent of this service-wide training seminar is to raise awareness on safety in the workplace and to incorporate safer employee practices within the service amongst personnel. The thorough presentation conducted by field expert Mr. Etienne Farquharson, included topics on Safety Communication, Hazards in the Workplace, Proper Use of Safety Equipment and Fire Safety. In addition, participants received tips on how to acknowledge, assess and correct unsafe conditions should they encounter them.It is the intent of the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King to continue the development of military personnel through such platforms, ensuring Marines and Officers are knowledgeable and prepared to perform effectively and safely as they carry out the mandate of the organization.(RBDF Photos by Marine Seaman Rickey Sealey)
