The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) participated in the Department of Labour’s job fair held at the Saint Joseph Church Hall, Boyd Road, on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This initiative aimed to connect unemployed individuals with local job opportunities.
RBDF members actively engaged with attendees, providing information about the Defence Force’s mission, role, and career opportunities. By participating in the event, the RBDF emphasized its commitment to exposing the public to meaningful career paths that allow individuals to serve their country while developing professional skills.
The event featured representatives from thirty companies and organizations offering training and employment opportunities. The Minister of Labour and Public Service, Hon. Pia T. Glover- Rolle, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the workforce and expanding opportunities for Bahamians.
The RBDF’s involvement aligned with its ongoing recruitment efforts. Eligible applicants were encouraged to consider joining the ranks and rates of the Defence Force, where they could contribute to national security and make a difference.
