DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS, 03 APR. ‘23 (RBDF):

Scores of Bahamians made their way to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base to celebrate the organization’s Family Fun Day and Steak Out on Saturday April 1st, 2023.

It was a day of fun activities for both the young and not so young, with many choices to choose from. Some of the festivities included awesome performances, a physical fitness demonstration by the Training Department, and an infantry display by the Commando Squadron Department. Special entertainments were provided by Bahamian artists Bishop Lawrence Rolle, Ebony 242 and Shine, while the youngsters were treated to face-painting, bouncing castle and a live martial art display.

Master of Ceremony, Petty Officer Dwayne Deveaux, kept the crowd engaged and entertained throughout the day, as there were lots of surprises and giveaways. The main attraction however, was the mouthwatering steaks and chicken, with a taste of local dishes such as conch fritters.

Dignitaries in attendance included the Minister of National Security Wayne Munroe KC, MP, Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, the Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander.
