vThe Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) hosted its Annual Fun Run and Walk on Saturday 27 September 2025, at Goodman’s Bay Park, bringing together service members, law enforcement agencies, and the wider public for a morning of physical fitness and camaraderie.
Participants included members of the RBDF, the Royal Bahamas Police Force, the Department of Correctional Services, and the wider community. Corporate sponsors and media representatives also supported the event.
Fidelity Bank, the lead sponsor since 2018, continued its long-standing partnership, helping to make the Fun Run and Walk a signature event on this year’s calendar. The route for the event followed the Cable Beach strip and concluded with group stretching exercises, Junkanoo aerobics, and complimentary hot breakfast souse, assorted fruits, water and Gatorade for participants.
Several competitors stood out, including:
• Women Recruit Najae Brown – 3rd place, under-20 division
• Ranger Cadet Amarrone Ambrister – 1st place, under-20 division
• Women Recruit Trenai LaFrance – 2nd place, 20–29 division
• NYG Cadets Erica Johnson & Leslie Adderley – 1st and 3rd place, 20–29 division
• Marine Recruit Kenneth Russell – 1st place, under-20 division
• Marine Seaman Leonardo Swain – 2nd place, 20–29 division
• Marine Recruit Dacoda Glinton – 3rd place, 20–29 division
Commodore Floyd Moxey, Commander Defence Force, thanked Fidelity Bank for its continued support and applauded the strong participation of New Entry Training recruits, noting their physical fitness and readiness. “This event reflects our commitment to physical fitness and teamwork, and we look forward to making it even better next year,” said Commodore Moxey.
