In a proud display of military tradition and camaraderie, the Warrant Officers of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) hosted their inaugural Warrant Officers Mess Dinner on Friday, August 30, 2024, at HMBS Coral Harbour.
The event hailed as a resounding success, reinforced the bonds of fellowship among the Warrant Officers while upholding the traditions and high standards that define the RBDF.
It served as a poignant reminder of the significance of unity, discipline, and the shared commitment to excellence within the force.
The evening’s keynote address was delivered by the Minister of National Security, Hon. Wayne Munroe, K.C., who praised the organizing committee for their meticulous planning and flawless execution.
In his remarks, Minister Munroe underscored the pivotal role that Warrant Officers play within the RBDF, highlighting the immense leadership responsibilities that accompany their rank.
“As Warrant Officers, you hold a unique and crucial position.” Minister Munroe stated.
“Your leadership extends beyond issuing orders. It is about embodying the sacrifice, discipline, and integrity that inspire those under your command. You are the vital link between the rates and your superiors, and it is your duty to lead by example, fostering confidence and respect among those who follow you.”
Also in attendance were Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King and Mrs. King, Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee and Mrs. McPhee, Base Executive Officer, Commander Origin Deleveaux and Mrs. Deleveaux, and Force Chaplain, Apostle Raymond Wells and Mrs. Wells.
The night concluded with a series of Loyalty Toasts, including tributes to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, remembrance of the dearly departed, and toasts to the King and Royal Family, the RBDF, and the Warrant Officers.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains steadfast in its mission to defend the sovereignty of The Bahamas. Events like this are vital in strengthening the resolve and camaraderie of its members, ensuring the continued success and unity of the force.
