RBDF JOINS IN CELEBRATING INCLUSION AT 2ND ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities hosted its 2nd Annual Church Service under the theme “Toward an Inclusive Bahamas” on 1 June 2025 at New Jerusalem Kingdom Ministries, celebrating the nation’s continued progress toward inclusion and empowerment for persons with disabilities.

The service was led by Pastor Gregory Minnis, who delivered an inspiring message encouraging attendees to “fulfill your dreams and keep on dreaming.” One of the most moving moments came from a powerful performance by the disabled choir, whose musical rendition stirred the congregation and reflected the resilience and spirit of the community.

Captain Gregory Brown represented the Royal Bahamas Defence Force on behalf of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, and reaffirmed the Force’s support for the Commission’s mission—“now more than ever before.”

Also in attendance was Retired Commodore Raymond E. King, who was honored with a certificate of appreciation for his continued dedication to the Commission’s work. Minister of Social Services and Urban Development, the Hon. Myles LaRoda, reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing access, opportunity, and dignity for all Bahamians living with disabilities.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains proud to stand alongside national partners in advancing inclusion, equality, and empowerment for every citizen.
