With the successful completion of the RoyalBahamas Defence Force’s Jetski Operator Course, congratulations is extended to the 22 participants who have now been equipped with essential skills for safe and responsible jetski operation.

The two-week course, which ran from 29 April to 09 May 2024, was conducted at the RBDF Harbour Patrol Unit. Under the expert guidance of seasoned instructors, the participants underwent comprehensive training, mastering jetski operation fundamentals, safety procedures, navigation techniques, and regulatory knowledge.

Five (5) of the participants also went on to successfully complete the instructor’s course, further enhancing their expertise in the area of jetski operation. This achievement not only highlights their individual capabilities, but also underscores the importance of continuous learning and skill development. This is essential as it enhances their proficiency on the water and in the maritime environment.

Now, as certified jetski operators, successful participants possess the knowledge and competence to navigate waterways with confidence, ensuring not only their safety but also the safety of others around. We look forward to seeing them apply their newfound expertise in their duties with the utmost diligence and responsibility.

Under Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King’s leadership, the Defence Force ensures personnel are equipped, trained, and prepared for maritime security, disaster relief, and peacekeeping. This also includes being able to fulfil our responsibilities with professionalism and preparedness.
