The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) supported youth development with a visit to Thelma Gibson Primary School, partnering with the Young Gentlemen’s Club (YG Club) on 26 September 2025.
Led by Chief Petty Officer Ian Hall, six Marines joined founder Ms. Tiffany Johnson to provide supplies to 32 students. The initiative was coordinated by the RBDF Ceremonial Department, ensuring the successful execution of the give back. Vice Principal Mrs. Dawn Whyly accepted the donations on behalf of Principal Mrs. Yolanda Rolle, with teachers including Mrs. Marvett Collie present.
Each student received notebooks, rulers, writing tools, and branded water bottles, while Marines reinforced the values of discipline, character, and service. Beyond this visit, RBDF Marines meet with YG Club members twice weekly, guiding them through military drills, life skills, and character-building exercises that instill integrity, responsibility, and leadership.
The RBDF remains committed to safeguarding the nation while shaping the next generation of leaders.
