The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Operations Centre donated food items, cleaning supplies, and personal-care products to the Twilight Home for the Elderly and residents of the Pinewood community on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

The Twilight Home for the Elderly is a licensed, privately owned assisted living and senior care facility that provides housing, daily care, and companionship for senior citizens. The facility operates under the oversight of the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The RBDF Operations Centre’s donation to our senior citizens, is a contribution towards their health, independence, dignity, and combats social isolation. It is a way to support and honour our senior citizens, who have spent their lives contributing to the national development of The Bahamas. The initiative was led by Lieutenant Commander Livingston Brown, as a part of the RBDF’s commitment to nation-building and community outreach.

Commander Defence Force Commodore Floyd Moxey commended the effort, noting that these community-centred initiatives demonstrate the RBDF’s dual role of safeguarding national security while impacting the Nation’s senior citizens, building trust, resilience, and unity within the society it serves.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force under Commodore Moxey’s leadership, is optimizing excellence by bridging generations and embracing modernization. As such, we remain steadfast in our mission to Guard Our Heritage, as our Officers and Marines lead by example on land, in the air, at sea, and in service to the Bahamian people.
