The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) proudly participated in the Exuma College & Entrepreneurship Expo, an event designed to equip high school students with the knowledge and opportunities needed to take their next steps after graduation. The expo brought together 14 organizations and colleges, providing students with valuable resources and networking opportunities to guide their future careers.
In attendance was Deputy Prime Minister, the Honourable Chester Cooper, who delivered an inspiring address to students, encouraging them to think beyond traditional employment. “Don’t only aspire to be job seekers but also job creators,” he urged, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in shaping the country’s future. He emphasized that this expo would serve as the foundation for students to begin their journey toward their desired careers, stating, “Your job today is to prepare for the transition to what you want to do.”
The RBDF was honored to engage with students, offering insights into the diverse career opportunities within the force and the vital role it plays in national security and development. The expo underscored the RBDF’s commitment to community outreach and youth development, ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

Under the visionary leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, the RBDF remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining its relevance, capabilities, and capacity.
Through strategic initiatives like Talent Management, Succession Planning, and the development of the Defence Force Reserve Unit, the RBDF is positioning to meet the evolving demands of national security and to secure a brighter future for the nation.
