RBDF PAYS FINAL RESPECTS TO THE LATE CHIEF PETTY OFFICER (RETIRED) RALPH RICHARDSON

Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, along with Officers and Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), paid final respects to the late Chief Petty Officer (Retired) Ralph Richardson during a Semi-Military Funeral Service held on Wednesday, 21 May, 2025.

The service took place at Grant’s Town Wesley Methodist Church, Baillou Hill Road and Chapel Street, where members of the RBDF, family, friends, and loved ones gathered to honor the life and legacy of Chief Petty Officer Richardson.

Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, delivered heartfelt remarks, reflecting on Chief Richardson’s notable accomplishments during his time in the Force. He commended Chief Richardson’s exceptional engineering skill, describing him as a dedicated professional who not only mastered his trade but ensured that his wealth of knowledge was passed on to those who followed. Commodore Moxey concluded his remarks by extending sincere condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the RBDF.

Also offering words of condolence was Captain Glenn McPhee, among other invited guests, who expressed admiration for Chief Richardson’s service and the positive impact he had on those who served alongside him. The service concluded with a solemn interment at the West Street Cemetery, where Chief Petty Officer (Retired) Ralph Richardson was laid to rest.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of Chief Richardson. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them during this difficult time. May the grace of God continue to bring them comfort and strength.
