RBDF RETAINS TITLE AT ALL ARMED FORCES TRACK MEET

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) claimed top honors at the Ministry of Social Services’ Family Fun Day and All Armed Forces Track Meet, walking away with both the 1st place trophy and the coveted floating trophy on Saturday, 26 July 2025.

The spirited competition, held at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium, brought together agencies including the Royal Bahamas Police Force, Bahamas Department of Immigration, and Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, along with several local track clubs. Competing under the name “RBDF Tridents,” the team delivered a dominant performance to secure their back-to-back championship title.

The team was coached by Chief Petty Officer Denise Oliver, Petty Officer Devon Sands, Leading Seaman McKello Cooper, and Able Seaman Fredrick Russell. Their leadership and dedication played a vital role in the team’s success.

The trophies received from the event were officially presented during the morning Colours Ceremony on the Defence Force Parade Ground, where the Acting Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee received them on behalf of the Force. The moment was shared proudly among officers and marines in celebration of another achievement.

Beyond competition, the event fostered camaraderie, cooperation, and a spirit of unity among sister agencies. It also highlighted the importance of physical fitness and healthy recreation within the public service community.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to participating in initiatives that strengthen inter-agency relationships, promote wellness, and uphold excellence in all pursuits.
