RBDF SEA TRAINING DEPARTMENT AWARDS MARINES OF THE QUARTER

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Sea Training Department honoured its Marines of the Quarter in a brief ceremony held at HMBS Coral Harbour on 19 May 2025, recognizing three exceptional marines for their dedication and outstanding service to the department.

The awards were presented by Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Sonia Miller along with Warrant Officers from the Sea Training Department. The ceremony, marked by pride and professionalism, brought the department together to celebrate the efforts and achievements of these marines.

The following were named Marines of the Quarter:

• Able Woman Marine Oriscia Clarke – October to December 2024

• Reserve Marine Seaman Kivarlo Smith – January to March 2025

• Leading Seaman Roderico Carroll – April to June 2025

These marines stood out for their individual performances and the valuable contributions made to the team. Their recognition reflects the Sea Training Department’s mission to provide standardized and professional training across the fleet, ensuring its longevity and the best performance from officers and marines.

Guided by the motto “Guarding Our Heritage,” and under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, the department remains committed to upholding the highest standards of training and service.
