The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Supply Department, led by Commander Samantha Hart, completed its third community service initiative of the year on September 27, 2024, at the Mary Ingraham Home Care Center, marking the department’s second visit to the facility this year.
Fifteen personnel from various sections of the department participated, showcasing their commitment to community engagement. The dedicated team undertook a variety of tasks, including cleaning windows, scrubbing floors, and preparing and serving breakfast to the residents. This return visit was inspired by a promise made to the center to continue supporting and caring for the community. Commander Hart emphasized the department’s steadfast commitment to the residents, assuring them they will not be forgotten.
Earlier this year, the Supply Department also engaged in additional community service projects, including significant contributions to the Bahamas Association for the Physically Disabled (BAPD), where they enhanced the grounds through landscaping, and at All Saints Camp, where they served meals to over 60 residents and assisted in cleaning the compound.
The RBDF Supply Department’s commitment to community service reflects their dedication to supporting vulnerable groups across The Bahamas. Their ongoing efforts not only strengthen their relationships with local communities but also make a positive difference in the lives of those they serve.
