On April 11, 2025, members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Supply Department donated a variety of essential cleaning and sanitation supplies to the Unity House Group Home for the elderly aimed at supporting a clean and safe environment for both residents and staff.
The initiative was led by Acting Lieutenant Commander Lennox Coleby and made possible through the collective contributions of Supply Department personnel, who pooled resources to support the cause. Their generosity reflects a continued commitment to service beyond the base.
This outreach follows the department’s recent visit to the Children’s Emergency Hostel, where team members hosted a Pizza Day for the children. That event was warmly received, with the children expressing heartfelt gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
These community efforts are in keeping with the Commander Defence Force’s directive encouraging units to give back through time, products, or service. The Supply Department’s donation to Unity House marks another meaningful step in upholding the RBDF’s core value of community engagement.
