Three (3) relay teams proudly represented the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Track Team, the Tridents, at the DTSP Wolf Pack/Alexander Doyle Burrows 8th Annual Track and Field Meet, held on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

The meet, staged under the theme “Ambush 2026 – It’s Hunting Season,” featured the highly anticipated Corporate 4x100m Relay Invitational, with participation from uniformed services and corporate organizations, including the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Central Bank of The Bahamas.

The RBDF entered two male relay teams and one female relay team, delivering an exceptional showing. Male Team Alpha consisting of Marine Seaman Perez Burrows, Marine Seaman Cyrique Saunders, Marine Seaman Jayron Marshall, and Marine Seaman Shimar Bain captured first place. Male Team Bravo represented by Marine Seaman Kenton Dixon, Marine Seaman Brent Smith, Marine Seaman Ta-Vaughn Taylor, and Marine Seaman Joshua March secured second place.

The RBDF Female Relay Team with Woman Marine Miah Bethel, Woman Marine Destiny Bridgewater, Woman Marine Sharissa Mackey, and Woman Marine Sanai Neely, also claimed first place overall, delivering a dominant performance.

The RBDF Tridents’ success reflects outstanding teamwork, discipline, and athletic excellence. Event coordination was led by Chief Petty Officer Devon Sands, with support from Physical Training Instructors Chief Petty Officer Denise Oliver, Petty Officer Stefearn Cleare, and Able Seaman Sherwin Ferguson.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force under Commodore Moxey’s leadership, is optimizing excellence by bridging generations and embracing modernization.
