RBDF VETERAN ASSOCIATION HOST MEET AND GREET & FUN/RUN WALK

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Veterans Association successfully hosted its inaugural Meet and Greet/Fun Run Walk on 28 June 2025. This initiative brought together veterans, retirees, officers, and marines of the RBDF in a spirit of unity, appreciation, and pride in service.

The event was made possible through the leadership of Association President, Chief Petty Officer Daniel Ferguson, and Commander Judy McDonald, Veteran Affairs Officer. The fun run/walk began at Parliament Street, continued along East Bay Street, crossed the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge, and concluded at Parliament Street, offering participants scenic views and a fresh start to the day.

Following the walk, attendees were treated to a delightful selection of native Bahamian breakfast options and enjoyed meaningful moments to reconnect, share stories, and strengthen bonds of camaraderie. The event also served as a strategic initiative to boost membership and promote continued engagement within the veteran community.

This memorable gathering marked a significant step toward fostering deeper connections among those who have proudly served. The Association looks forward to hosting future events that continue to honour service, support wellness, and and build lasting connections.
