Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) welcomed a courtesy call by the Rhode Island National Guard (RING), led by Major General Andrew J. Chevalier, at Defence Headquarters.
Major General Chevalier, accompanied by his executive team, met with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, and members of his executive team. The visit provided an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral relations and reaffirm the longstanding partnership between the Rhode Island National Guard and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
Discussions during the engagement focused on regional security cooperation, professional military development, disaster response coordination, and continued collaboration under the State Partnership Program. Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and cooperation in addressing shared security challenges.
Commodore Moxey expressed appreciation for the continued partnership and support of the Rhode Island National Guard, while Major General Chevalier reaffirmed his commitment to deepening collaboration and maintaining strong ties with the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
The courtesy call concluded with an exchange of tokens and a reaffirmation of the mutual commitment to regional security, cooperation, and professional military engagement.
