The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Commando Squadron Department celebrated the successful completion of a VIP Security Training course with a graduation ceremony held on September 20, 2024, at the Training Auditorium onboard HMBS Coral Harbour Base.
The training program, hosted by the Rhode Island National Guard, was a Subject Matter Expert Exchange that took place from September 16 to September 20, 2024. A total of 26 RBDF members participated in the course, which covered essential VIP security skills such as escort procedures, mounted and unmounted formations, critical site analysis, and advanced pistol shooting techniques. The Rhode Island National Guard representatives, Captain Trent Hastings, Master Sergeant Kevin Rodgers, and Sergeant Jared Dooley provided expert instruction throughout the week-long training.
During the graduation ceremony, Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glen McPhee, commended the marines for their dedication and successful completion of the course. He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Rhode Island National Guard team for their invaluable contribution in training the RBDF personnel.
