The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) hosted a delegation from the Rhode Island National Guard (RING), led by Major General Andrew J. Chevalier, for an official tour of Coral Harbour Base. The tour, which included senior leadership from both forces, reflected collaboration, operational insights, and celebration of the 20th anniversary of partnership between The Bahamas and Rhode Island under the State Partnership Program (SPP). Commodore Floyd Moxey, Commander Defence Force, affirmed this partnership reflects our shared commitment to excellence, regional security, and professional development.
The delegation was accompanied by Commodore Floyd Moxey, Commander Defence Force, and members of his Executive Team, who shared perspectives on strategy, operational readiness, and regional security priorities. Their perspectives provided a comprehensive understanding of the RBDF’s multifaceted mission, from the Operations Command Centre, key departments across the Base and the HMBS Flamingo Monument, honouring the legacy and service of those who defended The Bahamas’ territorial integrity.
A highlight of the tour was a short sea trip aboard a RBDF patrol boat, followed by a formal reception in the Officers’ Wardroom to celebrate 20 years of enduring partnership and cooperation through the State Partnership Program.
