A group of Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Marines were awarded certificates on September 4, 2024, at HMBS Coral Harbour Base for successfully completing a two-week Gym Management Course.
The course was organized by Force Chief Petty Officer Tameko Adderley and Petty Officer Demitris Clarke, with assistance from course facilitator Leading Seaman Romon Frazier. Designed around the operations of the fitness center, the course covered a range of important topics, including aerobics, nutrition, equipment familiarization, guest courtesy, and personnel interaction.
Five marines participated in the course, which aimed to enhance their understanding of managing the Clifford Scavella Gym. The training focused on equipping new personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary for running a fitness facility effectively and providing a positive environment for both guests and fellow marines.
Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond E. King, the RBDF remains committed to the ongoing development of its personnel, striving to foster a high-performance workforce centered on excellence and professionalism. This commitment to continuous improvement helps to create an inclusive environment that empowers all Defence Force members.
