On Monday, February 16, Marine Seaman Pennerman experienced a devastating house fire that resulted in significant personal loss. In response, personnel at Coral Harbour Base mobilized to support their fellow service member during this difficult experience.
The Supply Department initiated relief efforts by providing immediate assistance in the form of financial support and food supplies. Additionally, a call for voluntary fincial support from other service members was extended.
Subsequently, during the Morning Colours ceremony, Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Sonia Miller, presented Marine Seaman Pennerman with a check representing the initial financial support contributed by personnel. The presentation reflected the strong camaraderie, esprit de corps and mutual support among personnel, to assist Marine Seaman Pennerman as he recovers from the loss caused by the fire.
