Among the honorees visiting the base were Agatha Delancy and Harcourt Poitier for golf; Samuel Symonette for bowling; Peter Gilcud for basketball; and Edmund Lewis for cricket. While touring the base, they were officially welcomed aboard by Commander Defence Force Commodore Tellis Bethel, who thanked the group for their service to the country through sports, and lauded them as living legends.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture. They were all treated to lunch during the tour. The National Hall of Fame is the highest honour for outstanding athletes, coaches and officials in the country.
