Captain Dwain Hutchinson, Managing Director and CEO of the Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA), paid a courtesy call on Commander Defence Force, Commodore Floyd Moxey, and his Executive Leadership on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at Defence Headquarters, Ministry of National Security Building.

Captain Hutchinson was accompanied by Katie Clarke, Head of the Nassau Office, and Kenneth Carey, Technical Officer. The purpose of the courtesy call was to formally introduce themselves and extend congratulations to Commodore Moxey on his appointment as Commander Defence Force. They also expressed appreciation for the continued collaboration between the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) and the BMA, particularly regarding shared responsibilities impacting ships navigating Bahamian jurisdiction.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in productive discussions focused on maintaining strong cooperative efforts to ensure maritime safety, regulatory compliance, and national security across Bahamian territorial waters.

The courtesy call concluded with an exchange of tokens, during which Captain Hutchinson presented gifts to Commodore Moxey and the Executive Leadership. In return, Commodore Moxey presented his official Challenge Coin to Captain Hutchinson and his colleagues, symbolizing mutual respect and continued partnership between the organizations.
