In a collaborative search and rescue effort, two (2) males who were presumed missing were found at sea.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Operations Command Centre received information about the individuals who were expected to return to Acklins from Samana Cay five (5) days ago.
However, after not being heard from, a search was initiated and after scouring the designated area, using both aerial and maritime resources, both missing individuals were eventually located and recovered North of Samana Cay on 20 May, 2024.
The two male individuals appeared to be in good health and were taken to Spring Point, Acklins, where they were promptly handed over to local physicians for further observation and medical evaluation.
