Enlisted personnel from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), began their first week in Commander Defence Force (CDF) Strategic Planning Symposium yesterday, April 11, 2022 at Coral Harbour Base.Commander Defence Force, Commodore, Ph. D, Raymond King developed the Strategic Planning Symposium to focus on the growth and development of the force’s newly promoted enlisted.Under the theme, “Developing a Professional High Performance Force, Focus on Performance Excellence”, the symposium will welcome members of law enforcement agencies to participate in the knowledge sharing and relationship building throughout the law enforcement sector.The Minister of National Security, Wayne Munroe Q.C was in attendance and gave brief remarks. He reminded the participants that we are all called to service above self and reassured them that his office will continue to ensure that the Defence Force and other agencies under his portfolio receive the utmost support from his government. Minister Munroe said, “…the Defence Force is the brain child of the Progressive Liberal Party and we must ensure its wellbeing.” Throughout the symposium, officers and enlisted will be informed on topics such as, Wildlife Preservation, Principles of a high performing workforce, and Performance Excellence among others. Starting on the heels of the CDF Leader & Management Symposium, Commodore King believes that these symposiums are necessary tools in keeping members not only well rounded, but also versatile in the various areas of the deployment of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
