Defence Headquarters, 27 JAN. ‘24 (RBDF): The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) proudly hosted the “GATHERED FOR GREATNESS” Executive and Command Leadership Conclave at the BAHAMAR Resort from Tuesday, January 23, 2024, to Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
This two-day conclave served as a platform for leaders within the RBDF to engage in insightful discussions, share experiences, and chart the course for the future. The theme, “The Pursuit of Excellence as Guardians of Our Heritage, Nation Builders, and Community Leaders,” guided the discussions.
The Honourable Wayne R. Munroe, K.C., M.P., Minister of National Security, delivered remarks emphasizing the critical role the RBDF plays in safeguarding the nation’s heritage and building strong communities through a commitment to excellence.
Distinguished guest speakers included Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander, Bishop Neil C. Ellis, Defence Force Chaplain Apostle Raymond Wells, Retired Commodore Clifford Scavella, Bishop Valentino Williams, Pastor Kenny Deveaux, Force Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham, and Commander Origin Deleveaux. The conclave covered a diverse range of topics, including transformational leadership, community engagement, core values, personnel development, and the evolving role of the RBDF in safeguarding the nation.
During his address, Commodore King expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating that the conclave exemplified the organization’s dedication to continuous improvement and leadership development. He remarked, “We are honoured to have such esteemed speakers share their insights as we collectively strive for excellence in our roles as guardians of our heritage, nation builders, and community leaders.”
Commodore King’s objective was to ensure a shared vision amongst the executive and command leadership members collective responsibility, unity of purpose, and refocused commitment to the mandate and missions of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. Solidifying his commitment to enhancing the quality and capabilities of personnel under his leadership. This dedication is grounded in the pursuit of leadership excellence, exemplified by professionalism, and focused on achieving performance excellence.
