The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers section was pleased to contribute to the community they are based in, as they recently assisted the Coral Harbour community during a clean-up effort on October 3, 2020.
The young leaders took the time to trim the edges of the sidewalks and remove unwanted debris from along the main Coral Harbour thoroughfare. They were assisted by the RBDF Rangers Instructors, led by Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Dwight Rolle. Accompanying the Rangers was President of Coral Heights East, Ms. Kim Deveaux.
“Overall, it was a great learning experience for the young Rangers”, said CPO Rolle. “They were excited in grasping the concept of giving back to the community”.
The RBDF Rangers program, which comprises young men and women from various Junior and Senior High Schools throughout the country, received the coveted Ministry of Youth Award for the National Youth Organization of the Year in 2017.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force is committed to “Guarding our Heritage” through opportunities like these, with emphasis on preparing the organization’s future leaders.
