The facility, situated in the rear of the building which houses employees of the Ministry of National Security and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Headquarters staff, was renamed the “Fit for Life Café and Gym”. It is designed to further enhance the capabilities of the Ministry of National Security in its daily operations and can also be transformed into an Emergency Operations Center for Disaster and Crisis Management as needed.Also, in attendance were the Under Secretary, Ms. Brenda Dorsette, and Senior Staff members of the Ministry of National Security, the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Dr. Raymond King, and the RBDF Executive Team.In his remarks, Minister Munroe noted that the building is outfitted with a kitchen area where meals will be prepared by qualified Defence Force chefs, and a fitness gym along with sleeping quarters will be made available to individuals. He encouraged members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and employees of the Ministry of National Security to utilize the facilities that have been offered to them. The ceremony concluded with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a tour of the facility.
