As part of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic plan to strengthen community relations with stakeholders and the larger community; FTX Digital Markets donated twenty (20) tablets to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force on October 19, 2022, at the Ministry of National Security John F. Kennedy Drive.In attendance was Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shonedel Pinder, Command Staff & Policy and Strategy Officer, Captain Gregory Brown, Human Resource Officer, Senior Lieutenant Thora Gardiner and FTX Digital Markets representatives Valdez K. Russell, VP of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, and Zoe Gibson-Bowleg, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility.In his remarks, Mr. Russell stated that FTX’s objective is to identify organizations who make meaningful contributions towards a better Bahamas. He also acknowledged efforts of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force to protect the territorial borders of the Bahamas and the need for officers to have access to tools and resources to increase effectiveness. Commander Defence Force and his Executive Officers accepted the generous donation by FTX Digital Markets representatives and to conclude the meeting, gifts and pleasantries were exchanged between Commander Defence Force and FTX representatives. The donation of the smart tablets is in sync with the Commodore’s commitment to a bright, talented, and intelligent cadre of officers, consistently doing their part towards a safer and modern Bahamas.
