In keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s strategic intent of developing a professional and high-performance workforce focused on excellence, Marines from the Supply Department and Harbour Patrol Unit were awarded for their continued performance of excellence. In a brief ceremony held yesterday at Coral Harbour Base, receiving awards for Marine of the Quarter from the Supply Department’s various sections were Able Seaman Patrick Seymour, Able Seaman Mikhial McPhee, Marine Seamen Brianardo Baker and Marine Seaman Kylon Newton for January to March 2022. Able Seaman Carlton Thurston was awarded the overall Supply Department’s Marine of the Year for 2021. Presenting the awards to the recipients was Captain Gregory Brown, Captain Coral Harbour, assisted by Commander Origin Deleveaux, Base Executive Officer, Lieutenant Commander Samantha Hart, Base Supply Officer and Force Chief Petty Officer Dwayne Rolle.Additionally, the Harbour Patrol Unit (HPU) held a ceremony on May 17, 2022, awarding Marine Seaman Brandon Johnson with Marine of The Quarter for January to March 2022. Presenting the award was Lieutenant Commander Byron McClain, Commanding Officer of HPU accompanied by Force Chief Petty Officer Theodore Thompson, Chief Petty Officer James Neely and Chief Petty Officer Walter Sawyer. The organization sends a ‘Bravo Zulu’ to the Marines for a stellar performance in the execution of their duties and encourages them to continue to maintain the standard.
