Warrant Officers of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF), participated in Commander Defence Force (CDF) Strategic Planning Symposium from May 4 – May 6, 2022 at Coral Harbour Base.The three (3) day Strategic Planning Symposium was developed by Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King to focus on the growth and development of the rates and ranks within the force. Under the theme, “Developing a Professional High Performance Force, Focus on Performance Excellence”, the symposium is intended to continue over the next few weeks, where each rate and rank will be afforded three (3) days of participation. The sessions also welcomed many speakers to the knowledge sharing forum. Some of them included, Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, Commodore Clifford Scavella (Retired), Commodore Roderick Bowe (Retired), Base Executive Officer, Commander Origin Deleveaux, Lieutenant Commander Desiree Corneille, Chief Superintendent Matthew Edgecombe of the Police Force, Assistant Director (Acting) Mr. Rudolph Ferguson of Bahamas Department of Immigration, Mr. Anthony O’Brien and Mr. Alexander Darville of Bahamas Training & Vocational Institute and Mrs. Ann Hutchison of Colina Insurance.Throughout the symposium, officers and enlisted will be informed on topics such as: Principles of Creating a High-Performance Workforce, Organizational Strategic Planning for the Short, Medium and Long Term, Wildlife Conservation, Organizational Leadership & The Divisional System, Leadership & Performance Excellence, Trends & Patterns of Transnational Crimes related to Dept. of Immigration and RBPF, The role of RBDF Young Officers, Benefits of BTVI to the RBDF, and Retirement.
