The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) enacting the spirit of volunteerism, actively engaged in an organized community-wide cleanup on Saturday November 19, in the promotion and execution of The Governor General’s declaration of Community Relations. Service personnel from the various branches and departments of the RBDF took to the Coral Harbour Community to raise the standard of cleanliness by removing debris and miscellaneous items. Being the third clean-up exercise of its kind, it indicates the positive and long-lasting relationship the community has with the RBDF.In addition to clean-up campaigns, the RBDF also in engages in a monthly Community Fitness Exercise at the Coral Harbour Community Park. This initiative has positively influenced and impacted members of the Coral Harbour community, particularly during the pandemic when Fitness Centres and Gyms were non-operational. These community events are in keeping with the Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King’s intent to build strong ccommunity relations. (RBDF photos by Marine Seaman Rickey Sealy)
