At the BIBT Commencement Ceremony, under the theme “Discovering New Possibilities”, the Commander Defence Force, petitioned the graduates saying -Growth only occurs when you venture into the unknown, the new, and the possible. When you challenge yourself to explore the possibilities, opportunities, and new ideas, it opens you to novel ways to achieve your dreams. Commodore King encouraged the graduates who were made up of a combined three (3) classes, echoing the quote “Never limit yourself, we live in a limitless world with endless possibilities. Never say you can’t and never give up.” In his address, he urged the graduates to understand the value of what they accomplished. He highlighted that with their new achievements, not only should they be looking to ‘Discover New Possibilities’ as the theme encourages, but also to create new possibilities with their newly acquired knowledge and qualifications. He closed with a powerful quote from Sheryl Silbaugh – “Whatever happens, wherever you go, whatever you do, remember this; no one can take the fire out of your soul, the stars from your eyes, the passion in your heart. Those are yours forever.”The Royal Bahamas Defence wishes to say Congratulations to Petty Officer Shanell Gibson, Petty Officer Tancia Russell, and Able Woman Marine Quisheda McKenzie on successfully completing their degrees at BIBT, as they were a part of this combined graduating class.In addition to the dedicated service these three marines have given, these ambitious women sought to further their academic education and professional development, both of which are embraced by the organization through the strategic campaign set forth by Commodore King – Organizational Transformation
