Commander Defence Force, Commodore Dr. Raymond King accompanied by other Senior Officers from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force accepted an invitation on behalf of the United States Navy onboard the USS Porter on April 3, 2022.While on an Atlantic patrol, the US Navy vessel, the USS Porter, made a port of call visit to The Bahamas. Commander Christopher Petro, of the U.S. Navy serves as the Commanding Officer of the USS Porter, which is one of most advanced combatant ships in the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Also in attendance was the Minister of National Security, The Hon. Wayne Munroe, Minister of Housing, The Hon. Jobeth Coleby Davis, Chargé d’Affaires at the United States Embassy, Usha Pitts, Commissioner of Police, Commissioner Paul Rolle, RBDF Aide-de-camp, Lieutenant Commander Samantha Hart and other senior Defence Force Officers and Enlisted. To conclude the visit, both Bahamian and American parties exchanged pleasantries before disembarking.
