The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Crisis Risk Disaster Management Unit gathered aboard HMBS Coral Harbour Base to recognize the exemplary achievements of its outstanding marines at the Marine of the Quarter award ceremony on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
During the ceremony, four marines were recognized for their exceptional dedication and work ethic in the performance of their duties. Leading Mechanic Laithan Bastian, Marine Mechanic Clint Johnson Jr, Women Marine Sade Nottage, and Able Mechanic Lathario Forbes were awarded the Marine of the Quarter award for their outstanding contributions and commitment to duty.
In addition to his Marine of the Quarter recognition, Leading Mechanic Laithan Bastian was also bestowed with the Marine of the Year award, celebrating his remarkable work ethic and invaluable contributions that set him apart as an exemplary leader among his peers.
Deputy Commander Defence Force, Captain Shondell Pinder, Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee, Captain Sonya Miller, and other Heads of Department, joined in celebrating the achievements of the honorees.
