Ten Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) successfully completed six weeks of intense dive operations to join the ranks of RBDF Military Divers during a graduation ceremony held at Coral Harbour Base on February 17, 2023.The course led by PADI Certified Staff Instructor, Force Chief Petty Officer Thomas Williams, commenced on January 9, 2023, and concluded on February 6, 2023. Throughout its duration, participants covered various dive procedures and practical evolutions.Due to their training, participants are now qualified as military divers who possess the level of expertise to assist and supervise dive operations within the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and to work in conjunction with other agencies.Presenting the certificates of completion was Captain Coral Harbour, Captain Glenn McPhee assisted by the Commanding Officer of the Commando Squadron Unit, Lieutenant Commander Edward Fritz.
