The Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) held its Commendations, Medals, Awards, and Decorations Ceremony at HMBS Coral Harbour Base on February 19, 2024, to honour the outstanding contributions and exemplary service of more than two hundred Officers and Marines.
Her Excellency Cynthia A. Pratt, accompanied by Minister of National Security, The Honourable Wayne Munroe, presented various awards and decorations, including the Defence Force Distinguished Service Award, Defence Force Meritorious Service Award, Officer Commissions and Warrants presentations, and the Long Service and Good Conduct Award.
The Honourable Wayne Munroe, delivered closing remarks, extending heartfelt congratulations to all recipients for their remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment to the security of The Bahamas and the region. He expressed confidence in the exemplary leadership displayed by Officers and Marines, inspiring future generations to answer the call of service.
Under the leadership of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, the RBDF remains committed to talent management, recognizing, and rewarding members for meritorious acts, prolonged service marked by exceptional merit and conduct, and exemplary dedication to both the country and the force.
