On November 18 and 30 2022, members of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Crisis and Risk Management and Commando Squadron departments participated in Stephen Dillet Primary and T.G Glover Primary School’s On-campus Vehicle Career Day.The Commando Squadron Department displayed their Armoured Personnel Vehicle (APV) and Duce Troop Carrier. These vehicles are used for operational purposes such as Search and Rescue, Crowd Control, and disaster-related incidents. The Duce Troop Carrier is equipped with suspensions high enough to drive through 6ft of water with the capacity to carry 25 marines. The Guidance Sector of both schools made it their goal to provide their students and faculty with the opportunity to experience and educate themselves on the vehicles being used in the technical and hands-on oriented organizations in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The successful displays were directed by Commander Granville Adderley of the Crisis and Risk Management Department along with Force Chief Petty Officer Kevin Seymour.Strategically, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force under the leadership of Commodore Raymond King values the role of being socially corporate; giving back to society and youth development nationally.(RBDF photos by Marine Seaman Tenaj Wallace)
