Defence Headquarters, 30 JAN ‘23 (RBDF): Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King hosted esteemed guests for a pivotal discussion on Gender Optimization within the organization at Defence Headquarters on January 26, 2024.
Ms. Tiffani Phillips, USNORTHCOM Gender Advisor, along with Dr. Samantha Ross from the Impact and Women, Peace, and Security Council, and Captain Jonathan Griffith from the United States Embassy, engaged in a constructive meeting with Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, and his executive leadership team.
This noteworthy gathering focused on updating Commodore King about the developments in the Gender Optimization Policy Support Plan—a strategic initiative dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering all RBDF members.
A key agenda item involved the discussion of a program designed to prevent gender-based violence, reflecting the RBDF’s commitment to fostering a secure and respectful working environment. The program not only addresses the prevention of incidents related to sexual assault and harassment within the force but also provides essential support and resources for individuals who have experienced such occurrences, aiding them in their recovery process.
