DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS, 31 July ’23 (RBDF): The 16th Symposium for Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Senior Officers’ Conclave was held with great success in China from 23rd May 2023 to 7th June 2023, gathering esteemed delegates from approximately twenty-eight (28) LAC countries. This significant event, attended by Captain Michael Hanna and Captain Gregory Brown, aimed to enhance understanding of China’s role in fostering peace and providing assistance in LAC countries and worldwide, while promoting dialogue on geopolitical worldviews.
The symposium showcased distinguished speakers and dynamic Power-Point Presentations, offering valuable insights into China’s global engagement. Participants enjoyed educational trips to Chinese provinces, exploring culture, cuisine, military programs, and historical landmarks.
For example, the comprehensive journey spanned Beijing, Xi’an, Wuhan, Shanghai, and back via Bullet train, acquainting delegates with China’s rich heritage and modern contributions.
China’s commitment to “Respect and Inclusiveness” and a ‘Shared Future for Mankind’ resonated throughout the engaging sessions, fostering productive discussions on global cooperation and peace. The 16th Symposium provided eye-opening experiences, unveiling China’s dedication to peaceful coexistence and collaboration among nations. Its success testifies to the collaboration of participating countries, fostering stronger ties between China and Latin American and Caribbean nations, creating a more harmonious world.
